Smart Heating Control

Control At Your Fingertips

Smart home heating gives you precise control, improved comfort, and better energy efficiency. With intelligent systems, you can manage the temperature in each room to suit your daily routine. For example, heating adjusts automatically based on occupancy, so rooms stay warm only when needed. At the same time, the system monitors temperature and humidity to maintain a healthy indoor environment.

Smart Lighting Control

Comfort Throughout Your Home

Smart home lighting gives you complete control, comfort, and efficiency throughout your home. With intelligent systems, your lights respond automatically to how you live. For example, motion sensors switch lights on when you enter a room and turn them off when you leave. At the same time, the system can adjust lighting levels based on natural daylight, helping you save energy.

Smart Security Systems

Home Is Fully Protected

Smart home security protects your property while giving you complete peace of mind. With an intelligent system, your home responds instantly to unusual activity. For example, presence-based alarms detect movement when your home is empty and send alerts directly to your phone. At the same time, lights can activate to deter intruders and draw attention.

In addition, you can control your system easily with day and night modes, delayed arming, and app access. The system also keeps a clear history of events for full visibility. As a result, you stay informed, in control, and confident that your home is always protected.

Smart FAQs

Read our FAQs which may help you find what you are looking for.

A smart home automation system connects the main functions of your home so they work together automatically and can be controlled from one simple platform. Instead of managing lighting, heating, blinds, security, audio, and door entry separately, everything works as one intelligent system.

For example, your lights can switch on when you arrive home, your heating can adjust based on the time of day, and your blinds can close automatically in the evening. At the same time, your alarm system, CCTV, and door entry can work together to improve both security and convenience.

As a result, daily life becomes easier, more comfortable, and more energy efficient. You no longer need to remember lots of small tasks because your home helps manage them for you.

Smart home automation can start with one area, such as lighting control or home security. However, it can also cover the whole property with full-house automation. Whether you are building a new home, renovating, or upgrading your current setup, there are both wired and wireless solutions available.

Most importantly, a good smart home system should make life simpler, not more complicated. It should fit around your lifestyle and give you full control from a wall panel, smartphone, or tablet, whether you are at home or away.

A smart home system makes daily life easier, safer, and more efficient. It gives you better control over your home while saving time and reducing energy waste.

First, convenience is one of the biggest advantages. You can control lighting, heating, blinds, audio, security, and door entry from one simple system.

In terms of security, Smart alarms, CCTV, video doorbells, and access control systems help protect your property. You can check your home remotely and receive alerts instantly if something needs attention.

In addition, smart home automation can reduce energy bills. Heating and lighting only run when needed, which helps avoid wasted energy. This makes your home more efficient and can lower monthly costs over time.

Another benefit is flexibility. You can start small with one feature, such as lighting control or security, and expand later.

A smart home system creates a simpler and more enjoyable way to live. It saves effort, improves comfort, and gives you greater peace of mind every day.

There are two main types of smart home automation systems: wired and wireless. The right choice depends on your property, your budget, and the level of automation you need.

A wired smart home system uses physical cables to connect lighting, heating, blinds, security, audio, and other devices. This option is very reliable and works best in new builds, major renovations, or extensions where cables can be installed easily. Wired systems are often the best choice for full-house automation because they offer strong performance and long-term stability.

A wireless smart home system uses Wi-Fi, radio signals, or smart technology to connect devices without major wiring work. This makes it ideal for existing homes where you want to upgrade without opening walls or carrying out large building work. Wireless systems are quicker to install and often more flexible for smaller projects.

Both options can deliver excellent results when designed correctly. In some cases, a hybrid system using both wired and wireless technology is the best solution. This allows you to combine reliability with flexibility and create a smart home system that suits your lifestyle perfectly.

To use a wireless or a wired install is a question often asked by potential clients.

Both have their pros and cons.

A wired system will always have guaranteed reliability with no risk of possible interference, and without the need for batteries. However, the disruption involved in running the data and power cabling could rule out a wired system for a retro fit.

Rest assured though should you be looking at a retro-fit option Loxone have worked hard to design a robust system that far exceeds the normal perception of wireless technology. Each Loxone ‘Air’ device has its own encryption key preventing unwanted interference from neighbouring systems. Also the use of ‘Mesh’ technology means that every powered device can act as a relay station for devices further away, greatly increasing the signal range.

So in summary if you are planning on doing extensive building work or a full electrical re-wire then a wired smart home is the best option. But if you’re not planning on ripping out plaster board then a wireless system is the way to go.

In a wired smarthome all your lighting / shading / heating circuits are centrally controlled. So, space is required to mount an electrical panel which will contain all your smarthome electronics. This is normally situated in a plant room or utility room.
The size of this panel depends on how much you wish to integrate into your smarthome. For a simple smarthome; controlling your lights and zoned heating an enclosure measuring 600mm tall by 500mm wide would normally suffice
For larger properties incorporating more smarthome elements like Audio and Shading more electronics and therefore more space is required. These enclosures can be 1200mm tall by 800mm wide (bespoke sizes are however available).
If you are also wanting wired LAN points throughout the house, and perhaps some security cameras, you may also require an AV/Data rack.

Most definitely. It’s all about reducing unnecessary energy usage. Lights automatically go off if a room is unoccupied for a length of time. With zoned heating un-used guest bedrooms can be set to a lower temperature. Whilst on holiday the house heating can go into ‘frost protection mode’ but also be set to have the home back up to comfort temperature when you get back. Smart sockets can be used to turn off devices left on standby. Intelligent watering would only water the garden if needed. ‘Passive’ heating and cooling can be taken advantage of (using blinds and ventilation to heat or cool a house). Car charge points can be setup to only charge your car when energy is cheap (if on an economy 7 tariff) or when generating surplus energy from solar panels.
